I have a house I have a car I have things, But my heart is not In that house In that car, Among those things. It is longing to hear about the name Of Jagannatha. Oh Jagannatha Swami, In this lifetime I cannot see You- My eyes are imperfect, My senses limited, My body dissolving Day by day. So,please don’t let me forget Your Beautiful eyes, Your endless smile. With the impatience of a restless child I want to surrender To Your Lotus Feet

Just to make it clear - what does 100% surender exactly means? To act 100% according to wish of Guru and Krsna? 100% absorbtion in fullfiling Lord's desires? 100% free from material desires? all of this and more...
Nityananda! Gauranga! Hare Krishna! My pranams! One has to progress continuously by chanting the name and gradually reach the stage of 100% devotion. Natural progress is really the best way. Of course we have to be as sincere as we can, but it is not possible for neophytes to try and do what really really pure devotees can do. It's always proper to stick to what one is capable of doing and not try beyond one's capacity.
Nityananda Gauranga Hare Krishna! From Chaitanya Charitamrta :
CC Antya 4.172: [The Lord to Sanatana Gosvami when his body was affected by skin sores] "You consider your body dangerous and awful, but I think that your body is like nectar.
CC Antya 4.173: "Actually your body is transcendental, never material. You are thinking of it, however, in terms of a material conception.
CC Antya 4.195: "Kṛṣṇa somehow or other manifested these itching sores on the body of Sanātana Gosvāmī and sent him here to test Me.
CC Antya 4.196: "If I had hated Sanātana Gosvāmī and had not embraced him, I would certainly have been chastised for offenses to Kṛṣṇa.
CC Antya 4.197: "Sanātana Gosvāmī is one of the associates of Kṛṣṇa. There could not be any bad odor from his body. On the first day I embraced him, I smelled the aroma of catuḥsama [a mixture of sandalwood pulp, camphor, aguru and musk]."
CC Antya 4.198: In fact, however, when Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu embraced the body of Sanātana Gosvāmī, by the Lord's touch alone there was manifested a fragrance exactly like that of sandalwood pulp.
CC Antya 4.199: Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu continued, "My dear Sanātana, do not be aggrieved, for when I embrace you I actually get great pleasure.
CC Antya 4.200: "Stay with Me at Jagannātha Purī for one year, and after that I shall send you to Vṛndāvana."
CC Antya 4.201: After saying this, Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu again embraced Sanātana Gosvāmī. Thus immediately Sanātana's sores disappeared, and his entire body resembled the color of gold.
CC Antya 4.202: Seeing the change, Haridāsa Ṭhākura, greatly astonished, told the Lord, "This is Your pastime.
CC Antya 4.203: "My dear Lord, You made Sanātana Gosvāmī drink the water of Jhārikhaṇḍa, and You actually generated the consequent itching sores on his body.
CC Antya 4.204: "After thus causing these itching sores, You examined Sanātana Gosvāmī. No one can understand Your transcendental pastimes."
CC Antya 4.205: After embracing both Haridāsa Ṭhākura and Sanātana Gosvāmī, Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu returned to His residence. Then Haridāsa Ṭhākura and Sanātana Gosvāmī, in great ecstatic love, began to describe the Lord's transcendental attributes.

Nityananda Gauranga Hare Krishna! My pranams! Our Acharyas have given us the answers themselves. Actually the body of a devotee is never to be considered material because the Lord makes it spiritual (or the nitya-siddhas have eternal spiritual bodies). The so called material defects are simply a display of maya or illusory energy.

TRANSLATION
Being situated in his original Kṛṣṇa conscious position, a pure devotee does not identify with the body. Such a devotee should not be seen from a materialistic point of view. Indeed, one should overlook a devotee's having a body born in a low family, a body with a bad complexion, a deformed body, or a diseased or infirm body. According to ordinary vision, such imperfections may seem prominent in the body of a pure devotee, but despite such seeming defects, the body of a pure devotee cannot be polluted. It is exactly like the waters of the Ganges, which sometimes during the rainy season are full of bubbles, foam and mud. The Ganges waters do not become polluted. Those who are advanced in spiritual understanding will bathe in the Ganges without considering the condition of the water.
From Purport :
Kṛṣṇa's devotee is not subjected to material condition, even though his bodily features may appear materially conditioned. One should therefore not see a pure devotee from a materialistic point of view. Unless one is actually a devotee, he cannot see another devotee perfectly. As explained in the previous verse, there are three types of devotees — kaniṣṭha-adhikārī, madhyama-adhikārī and uttama-adhikārī. The kaniṣṭha-adhikārī cannot distinguish between a devotee and nondevotee. He is simply concerned with worshiping the Deity in the temple. A madhyama-adhikārī, however, can distinguish between the devotee and nondevotee, as well as between the devotee and the Lord. Thus he treats the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the devotee and the nondevotee in different ways.
No one should criticize the bodily defects of a pure devotee. If there are such defects, they should be overlooked. What should be taken into account is the spiritual master's main business, which is devotional service, pure service to the Supreme Lord. As stated in Bhagavad-gītā (9.30):
api cet sudurācāro bhajate mām ananya-bhāk sādhur eva sa mantavyaḥ samyag vyavasito hi saḥ
Even if a devotee sometimes seems to engage in abominable activities, he should be considered a sādhu, a saintly person, because his actual identity is that of one engaged in the loving service of the Lord. In other words, he is not to be considered an ordinary human being.
If we consider the bodily defects of a Vaiṣṇava, we should understand that we are committing an offense at the lotus feet of the Vaiṣṇava. An offense at the lotus feet of a Vaiṣṇava is very serious. Indeed, Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu has described this offense as hātī-mātā, the mad elephant offense. A mad elephant can create a disaster, especially when it enters into a nicely trimmed garden. One should therefore be very careful not to commit any offense against a Vaiṣṇava. Every devotee should be ready to take instructions from a superior Vaiṣṇava, and a superior Vaiṣṇava must be ready to help an inferior Vaiṣṇava in all respects. One is superior or inferior according to his spiritual development in Kṛṣṇa consciousness. One is forbidden to observe the activities of a pure Vaiṣṇava from a material point of view. For the neophyte especially, considering a pure devotee from a material point of view is very injurious. One should therefore avoid observing a pure devotee externally, but should try to see the internal features and understand how he is engaged in the transcendental loving service of the Lord. In this way one can avoid seeing the pure devotee from a material point of view, and thus one can gradually become a purified devotee himself.
This may appear a very silly question but dear Gurudev I was wondering how can a neophyte surrender 100% to the Lord. Does he have to wait for a natural progress so that one day he may become a pure devotee and thus be able to surrender 100% or there are ways by which he can also surrender 100% like pure devotees ?
Nityananda, Gauranga, Hare Krishna. Jaya Guru Parampara, Jaya Swamiji Gaurangapada.
My dearest Swamiji Gaurangapada,
The obvious reason for this suffering is that we have accepted a material body which eventually will cease to exist anyway. Decay and eventually 'death' is what every material body is sure to expect, without exception. Alas, but this decay is never without suffering. Think about Shrila Prabhupada: yes, even during His last days on earth He taught us a valuable lesson - but unfortunately His body suffered heavily. Hence the question whether one can be 100% surrendered to Lord Gaura Krishna while still being trapped into a material body. I'm also afraid that at the end of the day physical pain will have the upper hand and that 'dying peacefully' is only a myth. Nowadays at the hospitals people get heavily sedated during their last hours to 'ease' the pain. So, no matter how big our Faith, how can one actively remember the Lord while being sedated? Only God can give us an answer to this...
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery and today is a gift. That's why it is called the present, the present from God. The most important lesson is to always think about the Lord - here and now.
Praying for the Mercy of Their Lordships, Damodara Svarupa dasa
I regularly visit this site and I found lot of guidance from all the wonderful topics you discuss here. I became inspired and started chanting the Lord's names recently as your site made me realize the importance of chanting. And already I am feeling very much improvement. Actually since I am very new to devotion I don't know so much about this devotion and karma or scriptures, what it is or how it works. I am trying to know more about the subjects and I have been collecting some books like Bhagavad Gita to read more.
Recently I was searching for some bhakti books which contained some books essential for me at this stage.
Few days back I found this new ebook called "The Gaura Ebook" which was only some 34 Mb so I looked at the description and felt like downloading...when i opened it i was really amazed because it contained exactly what I had been searching for -- all the essential books that are needed for spiritual progress. Lot of info about science, bhakti, karma, vaishnava philosphy is there along with some books which I have read from the web links on the left side frame on this site. But it is small and easy to use.
I became very interested after going through this book as it is very valuable for me. I think all devotees can go through it.

In conclusion, this book will certainly make some difference in your lives for your spiritual benefit. If this book can help even one soul along their spiritual journey, it will have served its ultimate purpose -- to bring mankind to Godhead.
Dear Devotees, Nityananda!! Gauranga!! Hare Krishna!! Jaya Shri Guru Parampara! We will be using the new upcoming Google Wave for communication, collaboration, translation, instant messaging, posting, preaching and spreading the Holy Names. Google is sending 100,000 invitations in the end of September, so please register for the same on on this page.
Yesterday by the occasion of the most auspicious appearance day of Lord Balaraam, i chanted His 1000 most powerful and beautiful Holy Names.
i think He got pleased with my tiny endeavour and blessed me with more concentration and taste for chanting His most important and merciful Holy Name of "Nityaananda", as i was experiencing it today while chanting.
The Holy Name of Nityaananda contains all the other Names of Lord Balaraam and is the most merciful Holy Name of God.
Let us remember some of the most important reasons, why one should chant Nityaananda's Holy Name, if one is serious about achieving perfection in this most degraded age of Kali Yuga.
(1) BECAUSE GREAT ACHARYAS HAVE DONE IT IN THE PAST:
Cc Adi 11.33: navadvipe purusottama pandita mahasaya, nityananda-name yanra mahonmada haya
Purusottama Pandita, a resident of Navadvipa, was the Krishna's eighth gopala, Stoka-Krsna for Vrindavan. He would become almost mad as soon as he chanted or heard the holy name 'Nityananda'.
Cc Adi 11.34 balarama dasa--krsna-prema-rasasvadi, nityananda-name haya parama unmadi
Balarama dasa always fully tasted the nectar of love of Krsna. Upon chanting or hearing the name of 'Nityananda', he would become extremely maddened.
(2) BECAUSE THE NAME 'NITYANANDA' IMMEDIATELY EVOKES PURE LOVE OF KRISHNA EVEN IN A SINFUL PERSON
Chaitanya-charitamrita Adi-lila 8.23: 'nityananda' balite haya krsna-premodaya;aulaya sakala anga,asru-ganga vaya.
"Simply by chanting the name 'Nityananda' one awakens his love for Krsna.
Thus all his bodily limbs are agitated by ecstasy of love of God, and tears flow from his eyes like the waters of the Ganges."
(3) BECAUSE ANYONE WHO EVEN HEARS 'NITYANANDA' ONCE CERTAINLY ACHIEVES KRISHNA
"If one simply hears the name 'Nityananda', he will most certainly attain the lotus feet of Lord Krishnacandra irrespective of any other consideration."
125. "Anyone who just once his life speaks the word 'Nityananda' becomes purified. He becomes My pure devotee." (Chaitanya Mangala, Madhya Khanda, Deliverance of Jagai n Madhai)
(4) BECAUSE WITHOUT NITYANANDA ONE CAN NEVER ACHIEVE THE MERCY OF GAURANGA EVEN AFTER WORSHIPING GAURANGA FOR A MINIMUM 100 LIVES
From Shri Navadvipa-dhama-mahatmya, Chp 4: tumi yabe kara daya sei anayase; sri caitanya-pada paya prema-jale bhase.
Srila Jiva tells Lord Nityananda, "If You are merciful on someone, that person will effortlessly achieve the lotus feet of Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu and thus drown in the ocean of pure ecstatic love for Lord Krsna.
tomara karuna vina gaura nahi paya, sata janma bhaje yadi gauranga hiyaya.
"But if someone does not get Your mercy, then such a person will never achieve Lord Gaura even if he or she worships Lord Gauranga for a minimum of 100 lifetimes."
"No one can attain the shelter of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu without Your (Lord Nityananda's) mercy, but if You are merciful, even the lowest of men can attain shelter at His lotus feet."
(5) BECAUSE IF GAURANGA'S PUNISHES, NITYANANDA PROTECTS US BUT IF NITYANANDA PUNISHES THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO HOPE
From Shri Navadvipa-dhama-mahatmya, Chp 4: Jiva Goswami to Lord Nityananda: gaura danta kara yadi tumi raksa kara, tumi yare danta kara gaura tara para.
"If Lord Gauranga punishes a devotee, You (Nityananda) protect him and somehow engage him in Gauranga's service (like in the example of Kala Krsnadasa), but if You punish a devotee, he eternally becomes estranged from Lord Gauranga."
(6) BECAUSE NITYANANDA'S NAME ARE FORM ARE FULL OF SUPREME ETERNAL BLISS
Chaitanya-bhagavata, Madhya-khanda 12.18: name nityananda tumi, rupe nityananda; ei tumi nityananda rama murttimanta.
Lord Gauranga tells Lord Nityananda:
"Your name is Nityananda (eternally full of eternal bliss). Your form is also Nityananda (eternally full of eternal bliss). Your are Nityananda (unlimited bliss) in personified form because You are Lord Balarama Himself."
(7) BECAUSE WITHOUT NITYANANDA ONE CAN NEVER ACHIEVE RADHA-KRSNA AND VRINDAVNA-DHAMA
Chaitanya-charitamrita Adi 5.204: jaya jaya nityananda-caranaravinda, yanha haite painu sri-radha-govinda
"All glory, all glory to the lotus feet of Lord Nityananda, by whose mercy I have attained Sri Radha-Govinda!"
Shrila Narottama das Thakura sings: heno nitai vine bhai, radha-krishna paite nai
"Unless one worships Nityananda, one can never achieve Radha-Krsna."
nitae karuna habe vraje radha-krsna pabe
"If Nityananda is merciful, only then one will achieve the direct service of Radha-Krsna in Vraja."
(8) BECAUSE NO ONE IN THIS CREATION BUT ONLY NITYANANDA CAN BESTOW MERCY ON THE MOST FALLEN SOULS LIKE US
Chaitanya-charitamrita Adi 5.207: emana nirghrna more keba krpa kare, eka nityananda vinu jagat bhitare
"Who in this creation but Lord Nityananda could show His mercy to such an abominable, comtemptible and the lowest person as me?
(9) BECAUSE LORD NITYANANDA BESTOWS MERCY WITHOUT EVEN CONSIDERING OUR QUALIFICATION
Chaitanya-charitamrita Adi 5.208-9: preme matta nityananda krpa-avatara, uttama, adhama, kichu na kare vicara
"Because He is always fully intoxicated by ecstatic love for Lord Gauranga, He is an incarnation of causeless mercy. Thus He does not distinguish between the good and the bad people because He Himself is always intoxicated in pure love.
ye age padaye, tare karaye nistara, ataeva nistarila mo-hena duracara
"He indiscriminately delivers all those who simply fall down before Him.
Therefore He has delivered such a sinful and fallen person as me."
(10) BECAUSE LORD NITYANANDA IMMEDIATELY BESTOWS HIS TOPMOST MERCY PLEASED AT A SLIGHTEST SERVICE RENDERED BY US
Cc Adi 5.181: bhaike bhartsinu muni, lana ei guna, sei ratre prabhu more dila darasana
"That night Lord Nityananda personally appeared to me in a dream in His most enchanting form and placed His lotus feet on my head and gave me eternal residence in Shri Vrindavana-dhama simply because I defended His glories and that of His intimate associate Minaketana Ramadasa while quarelling with my brother who had faith in Lord Gauranga but only a shadow of faith in Lord Nityananda." (WHAT A MERCIFUL LORD!)
(11) BECAUSE THE NAME 'NITYANANDA' IN A MANTRA ALSO
According to Jaiva Dharma all the names of Gauranga are actually mantras, and the Lord should be worshiped through these namatmaka-mantras. Thus the name 'Nityananda' is also actually a mantra and He should be worshiped by chanting this namatmaka-mantra.
(12) BECAUSE ANYONE WHO HAS NO RELATION WITH NITYANANDA BY THE REGULAR CHANTING OF HIS NAME HAS WASTED HIS LIFE AND IS JUST LIKE AN ANIMAL
se sambandha nahi ja'r, brtha janma gelo ta'r sei pasu boro duracar nitai na bolilo mukhe, majilo samsara-sukhe vidya-kule ki koribe tar (Narottama das Thakura)
"Anyone who has not established his relationship with Nityananda Prabhu by chanting His name 'Nityananda' is understood to have spoiled his valuable human birth. Such a human being is actually an uncontrollable animal.
Because he never uttered the holy name 'Nityananda', he has become merged into so-called material happiness. What can his useless education and family tradition do to save him from the cycle of birth and death?"
(13) BECAUSE BY CHANTING NITYANANDA'S NAME SINFUL REACTIONS OF UNLIMITED NO. OF LIVES ARE IMMEDIATELY DESTROYED
Sri Navadvipa-dhama-mahatmya, Chp 1, states:
gauranga-nitai yei bale eka bara; ananta karama-dosa anta haya tara.
"The most fortunate person who chants the names Nityananda and Gauranga just once immediately destroys the unlimited sinful reactions accumulated for unlimited number of lives in the past."
(14) BECAUSE BY CHANTING NITYANANDA'S NAME, KRISHNA-PREM COMES SEARCHING AFTER THAT PERSON. ONE ACHIEVES KRISHNA-PREM EVEN WITH OFFENSES IN HIS HEART AND THEN OFFENSES FLEE. WHAT A SUBLIME AND EASY WAY TO GET KRISHNA-PREM.
nitai-caitanya bali yei jiva dake; suvimala krsna-prema anvesaye thake.
"If one feelingly and loudly calls out the names of Nityananda and Gauranga, the purest Krsna-prema (pure love of Krsna) comes searching after such a person."
"The offenses (which may be present) don't create any obstacles in path of achieving this love and tears start flowing from his eyes in pure ecstatic love."
svalpa kale aparadha apani palaya; hrdaya sodhita haya prema bade taya.
"In a very short, the offenses themselves flee and the heart becomes completely purified and thus the love furthur increases.
(15) BECAUSE IN THE NAME OF NITYANANDA THERE ARE NO OFFENSES
Cc Adi 8.31 caitanya-nityanande nahi esaba vicara, nama laite prema dena, vahe asrudhara
"But if one only chants, with some slight faith, the holy names of Lord Gauranga and Nityananda, very quickly he is cleansed of all offenses. Since in the chanting of the names of Nityananda-Gauranga there is no consideration of offenses, one will very quickly come to the stage of love of God, simply by chanting Their names and tears of pure love for Krishna will flow from the eyes."
PURPORT BY SRILA PRABHUPADA:
[...] There are offenses to be considered in chanting the Hare Krsna maha-mantra, but there are no such considerations in chanting the names of Gaura-Nityananda. Therefore, if one chants the Hare Krsna maha-mantra but his life is still full of sinful activities, it will be very difficult for him to achieve the platform of loving service to the Lord. But if in spite of being an offender one chants the holy names of Gaura-Nityananda, he is very quickly freed from the reactions to his offenses. Therefore, one should first approach Lord Caitanya and Nityananda, or worship Guru-Gauranga, and then come to the stage of worshiping Radha-Krsna. [...] One should first take shelter of Gaura-Nityananda in order to reach, ultimately, Radha-Krsna."
[...]"For an ordinary man, worship of Sri Caitanya and Nityananda Prabhu or the Panca-tattva is easier than worship of Radha and Krsna. Unless one is very fortunate, he should not be induced to worship Radha-Krsna directly. A neophyte student who is not sufficiently educated or enlightened should not indulge in the worship of Sri Radha and Krsna or the chanting of the Hare Krsna mantra. Even if he does so, he cannot get the desired result. One should therefore chant the names of Nitai-Gaura and worship Them without false prestige."
PURPORT BY SHRILA BHAKTISIDDHANTA SARASVATI THAKURA PRABHUPADA:
[...] "The Hare Krsna maha-mantra considers the offenses whereas the names of Gaura-Nityananda don't consider offenses. An offensive chanter will never achieve the fruit of chanting (pure love for Krsna) by chanting the Hare Krsna maha-mantra. Therefore till the time he is commiting offenses, he should chant the names of Gaura-Nityananda. Due the repeated chanting of the names of Gaura-Nityananda, the offenses will destroyed and he will achieve the fruit of chanting."
[...]"The name of Krsna and Gaura-Both are non-different than the named Lord. Those who think that Krsna is any way inferior or limited than Gaura are in gross ignorance. But in practical considerations with respect to benefit awarded to the conditioned souls, the chanting of Sri Gaura-Nityananda's Name is more useful and helpful for everyone. Krsna's mercy is generally only upon liberated or perfected souls who are surrendered to Him. But the magnanimity of Lord Gaura-Nityananda is especially for the souls who are offenders and full of anarthas and desires for material sense-gratification. The chanting of Lord Gaura-Nityananda's name and Their worship quickly delivers the soul from all the offenses and thus the soul achieves shelter at the lotus feet of Lord Gaura-Krsna."
(16) BECAUSE ONE CAN NEVER EVEN VISIT VRINDAVANA WITHOUT ACHIEVING THE MERCY OF NITYANANDA AND GAURANGA
Cc Adi 8.3 purport:
"In the beginning one should very regularly chant Sri Gaurasundara's holy name and then chant the holy name of Lord Nityananda. Thus one's heart will be cleansed of impure desires for material enjoyment. Then one can approach Vrndavana-dhama to worship Lord Krsna. Unless one is favored by Lord Caitanya and Nityananda, there is no need to go to Vrndavana, for unless one's mind is purified, he cannot see Vrndavana, even if he goes there."
CONCLUSION:
One can worship Lord Nityananda in the topmost manner by chanting His Holy Name (atleast 1008 times or 10 rounds) daily along with atleast 10 rounds of Lord Gauranga’s Name and 16 rounds of the Hare Krishna Mahamantra and by daily reading (1 chapter of) Chaitanya-Bhagavata daily which is the topmost scripture on the glories of Lord Nityananda composed by His most confidential associate Shrila Vrindavana dasa Thakura. Nitai-Gaura Premanande!
why some old Swamijis some of them are Sanyasi for long time and are Spiritual Initiating Gurus are severely suffering from diseases?
In the case on non-fully-perfect devotees, they have to suffer some of their karma since they are not 100% surrendered to Lord Gaura Krishna. If one is 50% surrendered to the Lord, the Lord removes 50% of the karma and one has to still face some effects of the remaining 50% karma.
Gurus have to accept the ten offenses of the disciples against the Hare Krishna Mahaamantra, which have no atonement in this world except constant chanting of Hari Naama or the regular chanting of Nityaananda Gauraanga Naama. So, unless the Gurus are chanting Hari Naama constantly or they have accepted full shelter of Nityaananda Gauraanga Naama and given Nityaananda Gauraanga Naama to their disciples in order to destroy the ten offenses of their disciples against Hari Naama, they may have to suffer accordingly.
But in the case of fully perfect pure devotees also, we may see that they sometimes externally "suffer" like the example you have quoted about King Dasharatha, the pure devotee father of Lord Raama. This is not actually material suffering. Pure devotees are seen to "suffer" due to the following three reasons.
(1) First is because the Lord wants their glories to be known widely because when there is suffering in the lives of pure devotees, they become more attached to the Lord and their glory shines even more. Also, by their example during suffering, the conditioned souls can learn and understand from the example of the pure devotees, how to react to suffering in their lives by surrendering to the Lord even more during those times.
(2) Secondly, the Lord wants to stop unqualified, materialistic and egotistic people from approaching and disturbing the pure devotee. Thus He deliberately puts that pure devotee in some distress so that materialistic people think that this pure devotee is an ordinary person and they don't go and disturb his or her bhajana. And thus the pure devotee can relish the Holy Names peacefully in the association of other sincere devotees and disciples.
(3) The third reason is an internal reason. Feeling separation (which may look like suffering externally but actually is extremely blissful within) from the Lord increases and heightens the intensity of the pure devotee's love for the Lord and that makes the pure devotee even more quailified to directly participate in the Lord's pastimes. It also shows to the world the ultimate nature of pure love which is that a pure devotee cannot even live for a moment without the Lord.
For all these three reasons, pure devotees are sometimes seen to externally "suffer". But iinternally they are experiencing the highest bliss of pure love for Lord Gaura Krishna during these times.
